When Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day Are Star Cross Lovers

The Lunar New Year in 2021 is so close to Valentine’s Day and that gave me an idea to discuss something about the Chinese Zodiac

Now if you don’t already know this, there are 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac, and the 12 animals will follow a cycle

According to myth, the Jade Emperor decreed for a race to select 12 Heavenly Guards and the first 12 to reach the Heavenly Gate were these 12 animals in this same order

That is the cycle they follow

So, what about the love compatibility?

Ok before we go into that, one more thing I should probably share about Chinese Astrology

You see, they actually split this into 4 Pillars, Year, Month, Day and Time Pillars and most people know their Year Pillar (to some extent)

The other thing about this is that the 5 Elements of Chinese Metaphysics, namely Wood, Metal, Fire, Water and Earth also comes into play

Hence the cycle is complete when the 5 Elements and the 12 Animals go through a complete cycle, which runs for 60 years, in which the cycle repeats itself

Like woah right?

And we haven’t even talk about the Month, Day and Time!

Essentially the Year Pillar will have 1 Element and 1 Animal, which makes up 2 of the characters, and when we consider there are 4 Pillars with 2 Characters each, that’s how we get the 8 Characters or the Bazi

Ok la this is just a prelude introduction thing, I won’t be going into the entire system la~ hahahaha

But, personally, I tend to prefer to compare the Day Pillar or Day Master, however, that is a bit hard to gather when you don’t know the birthday of the person you are interested in

Hence most people just see the year pillar, and in particular only the animal

Without further ado, here’s the compatibility of the 12 Animals of the Chinese Zodiac

Rat – Rat, Dragon, Monkey have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Rat is the Ox

Ox – Ox, Snake, Rooster have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Ox is the Rat

Tiger – Tiger, Horse, Dog have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Tiger is the Pig

Rabbit – Rabbit, Goat, Pig have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Rabbit is the Dog

Dragon – Rat, Dragon, Monkey have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Dragon is the Rooster

Snake – Ox, Snake, Rooster have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Snake is the Monkey

Horse – Tiger, Horse, Dog have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Horse is the Goat

Goat – Rabbit, Goat, Pig have good compatibility, and the secret friend of the Goat is the Horse

Ok la that was quite straight forward, but you might have a question for me

“What if my current partner is not the animal I’m compatible with?”

And that’s a good question!

You see, this is essentially a marketing gimmick

“Wait what?”

Think about it… if you are born in the year of the Ox, then you got so many choices to choose from… everyone born in the year of the Rooster is applicable…

It doesn’t really make sense right?

“Groan”

But before you leave, Bazi by itself is a complex tool, and looking at all the interactions is better if you are truly keen in this

So this is just a ‘for fun’ article 🙂

However, there can be some serious stuff too if you want to know

Ultimately love takes 2 hands to clap

Regardless of whether the astrology or zodiac or even numerology (all are tools of metaphysics) fits or not

Whether the DISC, MBTI, Enneagram (all are personality tools) fits or not [in fact, personality profiling can change depending on the situation and time]

It really boils down to whether you want to make it work or not

Please please please (please) don’t use such metaphysics or personality profiling tools to justify breaking or getting into a relationship…

Although yes, you can use such tools (both metaphysics or personality profiling) to have some fun and understand each other better, it is not fixed in stone

People can change, and it takes effort to stay in the relationship

So never take your partner for granted

In my personal opinion, reading about such stuff is really more for fun then anything, and if you really want to find out more concrete details, you got to see an expert

Otherwise, it’s simple, put time and effort in your relationship, communicate often, and love

Let me share a quick story before I end this

So you probably don’t know this but I know a bit of numerology myself

Like way before I learnt hypnotism

Back then, I would do couple hours numerology reading for people

Anyway, one particular lady came to me and ask me whether she will divorce her husband

Which personally, I felt was an interesting question

Now I saw her numbers, and could see that the relationship is rocky for various reasons which I won’t share for now

I didn’t tell her that

I said, I can see the love is gone

And she agreed, yes the love is gone

I asked her back, what made you think of divorce?

Her reply was, I didn’t, but thought if you say we will divorce then I’ll divorce

I’m like what…

And I told her, in that case, I won’t tell you what the relationship reading is like

Because it was very clear to me she was avoiding responsibility to some extent

Having me to say, “Yes you will divorce” and then divorcing because “a fortune teller” said so

After all, if she already gave up, why didn’t she just divorce him from the beginning instead of seeing me?

That’s why to me, that’s a bit irresponsible la~

If she came to me and asked, how can I make the relationship work again?

Then I will most definitely advice her accordingly
