TLDR: We can cure an allergy by using hypnosis to find and resolve the root event that started the negative perception and allergic reaction
Medically, there is no “instant cure” but rather more of effective management or desensitization
But what makes an allergy an allergy?
Allergies have been around for thousands of years but the understanding behind an allergic reaction has been more recent in the last couple hundred years or so
So let’s look into understanding what an allergic reaction is all about and how hypnotherapy might cure an allergy
Now of course, I’m not a doctor so the medical side of how an allergy works will be researched, paraphrased, and maybe even simplified
And if there are any mistakes, bear with me and point it out in the comments
I will also share how I think an allergy works when coming from the unconscious and how hypnosis can cure an allergy
Alright first up is…

What’s an allergy?
An allergy occurs when the immune system responds in an excessive manner to foreign objects that is normally harmless, creating specific antibodies for it
In other words, the immune system mistakenly perceives normal foreign substances as a threat, and overreacts to it
Actually that is just it…
I’m surprised too honestly
I thought the medical side will have done more research into why allergies occur
But they don’t have a good answer besides a mistake by the immune system
Something like the body evolve to protect against parasitic worms but got mistaken to various other foreign substances instead
Essentially what this also means, is that your immune system might mistake literally any foreign object as a threat and induce an allergic reaction
Depending on where the mistake is, you can get various types of allergic reactions
Allergic reactions can be mild like sneezing or mucus, to severe like swollen body parts, or anaphylactic shock
And allergens can literally be anything from common stuff like smoke, alcohol, nuts, to rarer stuff like water, sunlight or even semen
Interestingly enough, there are even more strange allergies like exercise, the cold, the human touch, pressure or vibration!
Like seriously, where’s the foreign substance in exercise or the cold right?
And yes, the cold here is the temperature cold, not the cold virus

How the unconscious registers an allergy
Ms Selina Ang was diagnosed with an allergy to exercise, and might even develop symptoms while travelling
So such a thing is truly possible
But how or why?
While there is a physical factor when it comes to allergies, I believe there is also a mental or psychological factor
You can refute my thoughts based on allergies of prawn, dust, etc, but what about exercise?
So if we go with the possibility of psychological factors, this opens up doors
You see, when we look at the mind, there is a conscious and an unconscious mind
And if you imagine an iceberg, similarly, the conscious is about 10% while the unconscious handles 90% of processes
So you might choose when to hold your breathe or breathe deeper, yet most of the time, you unconsciously breathe
Similarly with blinking
However your unconscious mind handles all the natural processes like digestion, heart beating, temperature control etc
And yes, your immune system too
So when we look at the earlier statement regarding an allergy, and if we replace “immune system” with “unconscious mind”
We get this: the unconscious mind mistakenly perceives normal foreign substances as a threat, and overreacts to it
However, once again, is it just foreign substances?
If that were totally 100% true, then there is no such possibility for being allergic to exercise, cold temperatures, or pressure and vibration
We can argue being allergic to human touch is a foreign object since the other human is not us
So I might completely remove that component and just register this
An allergy is when the unconscious mind mistakenly perceives a normal thing as a threat and overreacts to it
Actually I was contemplating removing “a normal thing” too, and just “mistakenly perceives a threat”
Which might make it seem like PTSD instead

So how can hypnosis cure an allergy?
When we look at what we constructed, we can definitely change one thing
No prizes for guessing! (Except giving yourself a pat on the shoulder for some creative and critical thinking~)
We can’t change the “normal things”
I mean, sure you can change out the items that contain your allergen, but you will still be allergic and got to be careful all around right?
You could tweak the “overreactions” which medically, will be something like antihistamines or exposure therapy
That reduces the overreactions, and if you are lucky, over time, have no reaction
No, there is only one thing you can change safely with the highly possible recovery
That is the unconscious perception of a threat
And that is why hypnosis or hypnotherapy is an excellent method to cure an allergy
We, as hypnotists, can bring you into your unconscious mind to reprogram, release, resolve, whatever negative patterns, beliefs, and change them into positive programs
Which is why hypnosis can reprogram such negative perceptions to turn around the perception of a normal item
You might be wondering though, how did such a thing happen to begin with?
Let’s use Ms Selina Ang as an example and this is just my opinion and deduction so yes, I might be wrong too
Personally, I feel that her mind might be having the perception that she is exercising too much and thus, perceive exercise as a threat or something from which to escape from by falling sick
This is also how I believe how certain physical allergies can be created, when something normal got mixed up in a negative experience and got linked together
We can call this a possible psychosomatic symptom, and by resolving the root event, we can cure an allergy pretty easily

Hypnotherapy as an effective allergy cure
A client came to see me regarding financial issues
Essentially, and due to having negative money beliefs, she cannot have or earn money
During her hypnosis, money appeared as a symbol of an egg
Since money took the form of an egg in her unconscious mind, she will avoid money and eggs
Thus the perception of an egg as a threat in her unconscious mind turn it into an allergy
Resolving her money issues also cured her egg allergy
She even tested by eating 2 hard boiled eggs that day for lunch, and subsequently for that next 2 months, yet still cannot believe she has cured her egg allergy
Although to be honest, that is very gungho of her to test so fast, with 2 eggs too!
I wouldn’t normally recommend that
I also had another experience with a friend
It was a hot day and we met for a coffee break, although while I had coffee, he had a soft drink
However, he was allergic to the sugar in soft drinks!
He started breaking out in hives
Red, itchy, raised skin on his face, his neck, his arms and all
I couldn’t bear to see my friend in such a state
So I offered him some hypnosis on the spot, to address his allergic reaction
We had to do a regression to find the root, but since it was unexpected, he wasn’t ready to resolve it fully
Which is fine really
I could at least, help him to release a huge chunk of it and his hives immediately went away
Even after coming out of hypnosis, and continuing to drink his soft drink
There were no more hives, only a mild itch
It would have been a complete recovery if he was ready for it

Is it possible to cure an allergy?
Well medically, probably no, its more about managing ourselves, carrying antihistamine or even an EpiPen
And I understand, it may not be easy to accept the idea that hypnosis can cure an allergy
However, if you can accept the possibilities of the unconscious mind and how allergies are perceived as a threat to the self
And how it is possible to change such perceptions which may cure an allergy
Then yes, it will be possible to have a cure for allergies
Although I will suggest, even if you see me to cure your allergies
Please don’t be so gungho and eat your allergens on the same day
You can gradually test
And its not so much whether I have faith or not
But whether the body has adjusted that fast or whether it requires a few days
Granted, if the allergy reaction is mild, then yea, feel free to test
Just like in both mentioned case studies
But if its a more serious allergic reaction, please test within reason 🙂
Until then, stay safe and take care!
